For the most part very organized and clean and a very eclectically infused atmosphere with such a wide variety of customer the prices aren’t too steep and very readable , and very economical

Always so pleasant here, they may have higher prices on some things but if you want high quality, organic, etc they have great prices for those things. I love their store brand products. It’s fun to get a Starbucks drink while I shop

Since it is impossible to find an email address for the Brodie location's Manager I am leaving a review/complaint here.

I just left your store and the young man at the "inconvenience desk" was horrid. He has no concept of customer service. I walked up and he was sitting there reading. Ok no huge problem, but I stood there for 2 minutes before he even acknowledged me after clearing my throat loudly. I told him what I needed to buy. He said "um hang on. I have to go tell someone something". I said "no, you should serve the paying customer in front of you." He kept walking away, right to the cashier I had just left. Then he casually ambled back and said "so what did you want?" I told him and he said, "um we are all out." I said "this is not good customer service to leave people waiting for no reason while you go to chit chat with other employees. I'm not a happy customer."

While I didn't get his name, he was probably 18-25, with curly wild light brown hair and glasses. He needs some serious remedial training or to be fired for being so incredibly rude to customers. His behavior is exactly why I am shifting my shopping to HEB. Guessing that if I was 20 years old he wouldn't have left me there waiting. His bad attitude just cost you a long time customer. He should get a pink slip for x-mas.

There is NOTHING remarkable about treating your paying customers of 20+ years with such despicable behavior. This is not the level of customer service that used to be expected of Randall's employees. I will gladly drive another 1.5 miles to HEB to avoid the rude and inconsiderate, employees at Randall's. ?

I don’t shop at Randall’s often and but I always think the store is pretty. The one on William Cannon seems well managed but today when I went to the one on Brodie I was disappointed in the produce. Most of the strawberries had mold. Several other things just didn’t look fresh. I mentioned it to an employee that I think was a manager and he said people have been telling him all day and he doesn’t know why the berries have t been pulled. Wow! I expect more from a pricy store. Walmart is doing better with their produce ?

Randles is my go to store it’s down the street little pricy, but the sales are where it’s at. This trip I never thought I would have to check those expiration labels at Randles found a condiment almost 4 month’s expired no manager on duty also had to bring the rest of the expired ones to the self check out for discarding wonder how much of those they sold today gross .

Update:

UPDATE: October 2, 2024: I went in to get chicken again and while I know that mgt spoke to the deli manager, it was still one of the most difficult customer experiences yet. A manager whom I know and think very highly of immediately addressed the issue. I would like the name and contact information of a customer experience leader so I can have a discussion. This has been my go-to store for 14 years and having been in corporate America for years, I’m beginning to wonder if Randall’s wants to be around much longer.
People make the decision to go to the deli for quick meals and the amount of add-on sales that happen are a net-positive to your Balance sheets.
Turning customers away with nothing over a deli managers bad attitude has probably already affected sales.
I do want to point out that the rest of the deli staff knows customers by name and are excellent.

I also picked up a very rotten Apple that was front and center among the other apples, which I took pictures of.

Anyway, the deli manager just isn’t trained enough to be in that role and seems to think every customer is out to get something over on her. Not a good look.

October 1, 2024: This store has hit rock bottom. In the past couple of months I have come in to get chicken on a Monday at 7pm only to have them tell me they were out and not making any more.
2) I’ve had the meat department tell me that after 4pm, I can forget having meat cut the way I want.
3) Just a few hours ago I came in and was told by two employees that I couldn’t get an 8-piece Chicken meal and swap out the wings for thighs. (I even offered to pay extra)
I was told no.
I was told that new deli manager Jill gave strict orders that no matter what, they weren’t to substitute the pieces EVEN though I offered to pay the incremental difference! While trying to understand this, a second customer was told the same thing, and they walked away. Meanwhile, the chicken just stacked up, meaning a lot of pissed off customers are going to leave wasteful inventory for the store.
You can also forget getting any of the Mango Habanero Sauce with your chicken, unless it’s poured over the top and THEN put into a paper sack.
I didn’t want to write this as I’ve been loyal to Randall’s since the first one opened in Houston. But the service at the Deli is horrible. Not one person there is empowered to do the right thing, The new manager needs service training and Randall’s needs to NOT put people in management without training them first.
No other Randalls has fallen to such a low place as this store.
I do want to add that a new meat department guy has been hired and I like him very much. He has promised he won’t let the meat department deny a customers request just because it’s 4pm.

Purchased a box of clearance baked apple strudels that had a sell through date of today, got home only to find them covered in mold. I head back to the store to return them. The gentleman with long red hair at the customer service desks informs me he’s doing me a favor because discounted items are non-refundable… even if they are covered in mold. Are you kidding me? I understand the purpose of reducing the price of an item that has a shelf life of one to two more days, but you can’t sell an item coated in literal mold and call it a day. Imagine someone not noticing and then getting ill as a result. Terrible negligence and customer service experience.
