Beware of Expitrans – They Hold Customer Funds!
I had the unfortunate experience of using Expitrans from 2022 to mid-2023. During this time, they held a significant amount of my reserve funds, promising to release them in early 2024. However, when the time came, I contacted them countless times, only to receive the same vague response: “We’ll check with the relevant team.” Despite sending multiple emails to customer support, executives, and even the CEO, I received no response.
Their customer service is dismissive, with managers like Ryan mocking customers and Austin wasting time with empty promises. CEO Scott ignores all emails, reinforcing the idea that this company thrives on withholding customer funds. If you’re considering Expitrans, try reaching out as an old customer and ask about reserves—you’ll see how they truly operate.
Do not trust their positive reviews. If you still choose to work with them, ensure you have a legal team ready. Stay away!

We are incredibly disappointed with Expitrans. We specifically needed a card processor that allowed the sale of hemp and kratom because companies like Square didn’t support those products. We were completely transparent from the start, clearly outlining my business needs and product offerings, including selling kratom on my website. A year later, out of nowhere, they terminated my services on a Thursday afternoon after business hours. To make matters worse, my assigned specialist was no longer with the company, leaving us with no point of contact.

They’re holding our funds and claim they’re 'subject to review,' but we can’t get any clear answers on when the money will be returned. Reaching out to a manager or anyone in leadership has been impossible, they flat-out refuse to escalate my concerns. When we asked for our original application and documentation regarding the termination, they ignored my request entirely.

This sudden termination has severely hindered our business operations, especially since we had doubled our expected revenue during this time. To add insult to injury, when we followed up a week later to try to resolve the issue, we were given zero new information and told to email customer support again (even though they had already failed to respond or follow up). The representative on the phone had the nerve to ask, 'Did you want to reapply?' as though that was some kind of logical solution.

Why wasn’t reapplying offered as a solution immediately when they first flagged an issue? We are more than willing to be accountable if there’s a problem, but we weren't even given that opportunity. Instead, we were left in the dark, disrespected, and completely abandoned. This entire experience has been unprofessional and detrimental to my business. We absolutely cannot recommend Expitrans to anyone in the hemp or kratom industry. Their lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable.

ExpiTrans has been absolutely phenomenal with their support since we have signed on with them. James W. has been by my side every step of the way, and has given over the top support, and above expectations in customer service. Recently we had an issue with a payment from one of our customers in which James again went way out of his way to get it handled, and introduced us to Matt Q. which completely took us under his wing and handled our situation with finesse and focus, not letting us go until he made sure our situation was in the right hands. This company and their employee's are 5 star all the way.

I was an agent for them and a few months ago I had to call them every month because I wasn't being paid. Beginning in July 2024 I haven't been paid at all. Nor have I been paid for August either. I am only getting the run around from them. I have asked for a full accounting and not received that either. If they cheat their agents then they will cheat their merchants. They had already cost me some merchant accounts due to poor service or inaccurate billing that they would not correct. Do not trust them. I will be reporting them to all appropriate governing state and federal regulators.
